Can you smell a virus…..?
Below you will find one of MANY, MANY, MANY Anti Obama and Anti Universal healthcare parody videos. Surprisingly there were far more than even I thought I would find on the net. So something’s gotta be goin on here.
According to this particular parody, the biggest FEAR facing most Americans today is having to WAIT IN LINES!!!! to receive healthcare treatment. Evidently a bigger fear than NOT BEING TREATED AT ALL!!! due to not having enough money and so DYING!! They even have the gall to show a Canadian (with a terrible, though it seems far from life threatening, flu) desperately waiting in the surgery to be treated under this TERRIBLY SLOW universal healthcare system. Yet Canada has had a public healthcare system since the 1950’s and if it was that bad surely they would have adopted their American neighbors’ system by now, wouldn’t they?
Who can say. One person’s fear, another’s parody?
The fact that I have found an ABNORMALLY large number of Anti American Healthcare ads, publicity and vids in general in cyberspace, not too mention the reportage on Fox News and CNN flooding the airways, can only mean ONE of a FEW things. You be the JUDGE!!!
- Americans REALLY CAN’T imagine anything more scary than the right to universal healthcare, no matter how crap it is!! The FEAR of continuing to live without the right to be treated when REALLY sick cause you’re not rich enough to pay, is nothing compared to the FEAR of such a system itself.
- The above is because, well let’s face it, hardly any Americans travel outside their own state let alone country so how would they even know what it is?? It’s bound to sound scary if you’re not used to it. You know. A proper public healthcare system. Gotta sound socialist, communist? Well in any case it’s, “something scary left over from the old world that we all escaped from with good reason!” It’s probably, “another pinky plot and if Nixon was back in government there’s no way those red shirts and their secret network commie spies would get a look in!”
- There are some strong lobby groups behind the publicity hysteria?
- Fox News and CNN have some business interests in blocking anything Obama may say, do or think? Especially if that entails helping the majority poor and struggling of the country?
- Is there some other reason we have missed? Let us know as I continue searching for an Anti, Anti Obama/healthcare parody on the net. Wish me luck and if you find something, anything, to even up the argument presented a bit, let me know because:
we all really know who’s suffering here no matter how many anti healthcare Fox, CNN or You Tube uploads there may be. It ain’t the rich minority who can afford private healthcare and the best treatment money can buy who are feeling the pain. Even they would admit to that. It is the struggling majority that feel the brunt of living without healthcare, houses, education, enough money to get through the week….Oh Yeah these things aren’t discussed so much by CNN and Fox.
Let me leave you with an opinion coming from a British doctor who has worked under the British NHS (that’s ‘national healthcare service’ for those who don’t know) for 30 years. I think his comment should count for something. It’s not an ad, not publicity or a parody. Just someone with some experience and knowledge on the matter.

I forget the exact statistic, but a LOT of money has gone into various ads against Obama. More than ever before (against other presidents). Sure, inflation is part of it, but even if you account for it, it’s pretty bad! In a way, it’s a success. He’s done well enough that they have to throw all that money away to make people mad at him (besides racist people). If a president really fucks up, you don’t NEED to spend money to have people noticing and angry.
I’d like to say to silvermoonstar3 that I agree a thousand times with her. I also see the whole thing as a complete success! I wish we had someone like Obama. He would have tons of votes. Instead, we have the usual suspects sayig the same things doing the same rubbish politics. I see a way out for you guys, I don’t for us here in Europe.
