Berlusconi slams leftist communist dictator-like-ist magistrates again!
But this time he shares his woes with Obama and the world at large at the latest G8 conference, creating yet again another internationally intended moment of outlandish and embarrassing Gaffe like insanity. But behind every Berlo Gaffe Text their may just be a Truth Text, or at least Subtext so we at least can feel a little saner:
Berlusconi Gaffe points to consider- no subtext:
Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi has taken his claim that he is being persecuted by leftist judges to the G-8 summit, telling a clearly perplexed President Barack Obama that in Italy they represent “almost a dictatorship.” This little speech was made shortly after he had stood behind his designated chair like a petulant little child, arms crossed and ever ready to be sent to the corner.
Let’s run through the main points of the day:
Berlusconi Text:
‘My duty is to inform Obama’, PM says
Subtext:
I’m pissed off and want the world to know via the tanned one.
“It is my precise duty, every time I find myself in this international context, to explain what the situation is in Italy, also about those affairs that could undermine (Italy’s) credibility“.
Truth Text:
It is Italy’s unfortunate reality that every time their leader finds himself in an international setting he makes Gaffe’s that rival even Bush junior’s and destroys yet again the country’s credibility. Thus the obvious thing severely undermining Italy’s credibility is him, and by Silvio stating the opposite-doublethink in action- we clearly feel he knows it too.
Berlusconi confided in Obama that a coterie of allegedly biased prosecutors was bidding to set up a “dictatorship” over public life. The premier, who is facing four cases of alleged corruption, fraud and sex with an underage prostitute, also rejected suggestions that Obama had not shown much interest in the topic. “It is absolutely false that President Obama showed detachment or coolness towards me. On the contrary, there was great cordiality, respect, friendship and support.” Yet Obama seemed surprised when Berlusconi approached him and said through an interpreter that his government has proposed a judicial reform because “we have almost a dictatorship of leftist judges.”
Truth text:
He didn’t really ‘confide’ in Obama. After all the camera’s were rolling and, vis-a-vie the interpreter, we heard it all loud and clear. There is indeed a dictatorship going on in Italy over public life as Silvio well knows, with his near absolute dominance over Italy’s media and much of the country’s wealth. It is not true Obama showed little interest in the leftist dictatorship judges spiel. Mr B had requested a private meeting with Mr O prior to his little speech but was refused as, evidently, Mr O has clearly had enough of this strange and mentally deranged little dwarf. He wasn’t uninterested, he was pissed.
Berlusconi Text as regards the press:
They should be “ashamed” of themselves because of the way they allegedly misrepresented him and his judicial woes
Subtext:
“I own them! I dictate what they can and cannot write, and my lawyers and I harass, sue, attack and sack them if they don’t! They should know by now what happens when you represent anything in Italy bar My version of the truth!”
Berlusconi Text:
The premier denied suggestions that an international summit, or a private chat with Obama, was not a suitable forum for airing his grievances.
Truth Text:
“I want the world to know, which via a G8 meeting is the best way to do so, the state of My country.”
Truth Text
Pierluigi Bersani, leader of the largest opposition party, quipped that Berlusconi was probably asking Obama for NATO military action against the judges.
Subtext:
Pierluigi Bersani, leader of the largest opposition party, quipped that Berlusconi was probably asking Obama for NATO military action against the judges.
Berlusconi Text:
Berlusconi was unrepentant about the furor on Friday, telling reporters at the end of the G8 meeting that he would not leave politics until he had passed sweeping judicial reforms and ended the “intolerable interference” of public prosecutors.
Subtext:
“Evidently any judge that refuses to be bribed by me should be out, out, out! And like many other reforms, I will make a law to end their legitimacy to run as an authority with separate interests and power from me!”
Berlusconi Text and Truth Text:
Berlusconi says left-wing judges have tried to pervert democracy by bringing 31 cases against him in 17 years, of which 24 have been shelved or resulted in his acquittal.
Truth Text:
Berlusconi has been acquitted of above mentioned allegations, mainly due to laws passed through parliament via MP bribing that protect him from being convicted. Thus he has avoided a guilty verdict equaling a prison sentence, or at the very least, being removed from his post, time and time again.
If only judges from my part of town were more like the judges of Rome!
Truth Text:
Berlusconi proved to have bribed judge but avoids prison!
Silvio Berlusconi, the Houdini of European politics, escaped jail last night on charges of bribing Roman judges. On the more general accusation of having put two Roman judges on his company’s payroll to corrupt them, a charge painstakingly documented by prosecutors through payments in and out of Swiss bank accounts, they found the charge proved. But for this offence, termed “simple corruption”, the statute of limitations had expired. The judges had no alternative but to absolve him.
Obviously judges are not raving intolerable communists when they can be bribed.
Berlusconi Texts and Truth Texts taken from below mentioned. Subtexts kind of obvious but written by the Controller who knows all. In any case after the elections yesterday it seems the Italians have had their say and have decided the time has come to take Their country back. Will the Big B listen? Probably not. Goodbye’s advice is for the crowds in the central squares of Naples and Milan to stay put like the Spaniards, and do as the Egyptians do. Because it is a well known fact that a dictator does not go down without a shove.
